Magyar joined the OHL ranks this season after spending some time in the USHL and considers it one of the most important decisions in terms of his development. And it has visibly paid off for him as a rookie for the Kitchener Rangers. With 46 points in 66 games, Magyar may not play a very flashy game, he gets pucks on net, plain and simple. However, his natural hockey sense and playmaking ability make him an offensive threat whenever he has the puck.

And while he has seen a jump in offensive production this season, it shouldn’t be overlooked that Magyar plays a complete game. Good in the cycle game, Magyar is also hard on the forecheck and likes to play the physical game as well. A raw talent, Magyar’s tendencies and sense come from a natural ability that he should be able to build on.
