His older brother Peter was a second round pick of the Columbus Blue Jackets last year, his younger brother David was recently drafted by the Medicine Hat Tigers in the WHL, while his second cousin is the Stanley Cup winning coach of the Chicago Black Hawks, Joel Quenneville. With a lot of hockey in the bloodlines, it should be no surprise that John is following suit.

This season, as a sophomore with the Brandon Wheat Kings, Quenneville has really upped his game, picking up 53 points in 56 games. Offensively, he is described as slick with great instincts. However, he doesn’t mind getting a little physical and has already dropped the gloves four times this season. He may not overly big, but does have a good frame. How many Stanley Cups will the Quenneville family be able to rack up in the coming years?
