Glover is yet another high end defenseman to come out of the United States National Team Development Program. With good size and a two-way ability, Glover has been able to build on his strong first season with the NTDP. Thus far, through only 25 games, Glover has already picked up 14 points. And while his goal production is down a bit, his 13 assists show that he is still utilizing his teammates and creating offense.

Considered to provide the presence of a fourth forward for his team, Glover is an offensively minded defenseman. He likes to join the rush and excels with the puck on his stick. With great hands, he is also capable of getting the puck up to his forwards quickly on the breakout. Making those long tape-to-tape passes isn't too much of a challenge for the Minnesota native.

Another strength of this 6-foot-3 defenseman is his skating ability. One report highlighted his four way skating ability which compliments his his complete game.

And despite his ability to play an offensive game, Glover recognizes that his first responsibility is defense. Always very composed, he is effective at applying tight coverage and taking away the opposition’s space. Displaying good awareness in all three zones, Glover also adds a physical edge to his defensive game.

Committed to the University of Minnesota for the fall of 2014, Glover will look to cement his first round status as he continues to produce for the NTDP this season. Known as one of the hardest workers on the national team, anything less than that certainly won’t be the result of a lack of effort.
